A pesar de que varias bancadas opositoras están amenazando con ir al Tribunal Constitucional si el Ejecutivo no separa la iniciativa, hay partidos que prefieren mantener una línea de negociación con La Moneda para hacer exigencias y sugerencias. Los diputados DC, sin embargo, ya acordaron endurecer su postura, rechazar la idea de legislar e ir al TC.
