La parlamentaria informó que, tras el altercado con el ministro Ávila, se había mantenido en silencio para conversar frente a frente con sus compañeros del comité del Partido Ecologista Verde e Independientes y comunicarles su renuncia al mismo. También ofreció disculpas públicas en el Congreso Nacional.
